When is the National Convention?

Where will the Convention be held?
At St. Paul Lutheran Church, 799 Saint Paul Drive, Slinger, Wisconsin. Slinger is located about 30 miles northwest of Milwaukee and can be accessed easily via U.S. Highway 41.
Is St. Paul’s facility handicap-accessible?
Yes, the facility is accessible for those with disabilities, and most of the events are held on the ground floor.
Is parking available?
St. Paul has plenty of parking in their two parking lots and there is additional parking on the local street.
Who is invited to attend?
Virtually anyone can attend the CLR National Convention. The presenters and topics are practical for anyone who has an interest in life issues or who is seeking help for their own lives.
What is the format for the day?
The Convention agenda includes a variety of plenary speakers as well as a number of breakout sessions throughout the day. Click here to see the Convention agenda.
What is the cost to attend?
The registration fee is $20 per person. That includes all Convention events and materials. The registration fee also includes a delicious catered meal by That’s Amore and other snacks throughout the day.
Are discounts available for the registration fee?
There are no discounts available. The cost of $20 is so reasonable we are unable to additionally reduce that cost. The $20 fee is applicable for all who attend.
Can I attend part of the convention rather than the entire day?
Attendees can attend any portion of the Convention, but there is no reduced registration fee for partial attendance.
Is lodging available?
Yes, a block of rooms is reserved at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Jackson, Wisconsin. You can check the hotel’s website at (http://www.comfortinn.com/hotel-jackson-wisconsin-WI102). To get the special Convention rate, you must call the hotel at 262-677-1133. Just mention you are part of the Christian Life Resources National Convention to receive your special rate of $89.90 per night.
What about the teens?
The teens will register at St. Paul and attend the Keynote Address in the morning. Then they will go to a separate facility for the majority of their day. Click on the link for more information on the Teen Convention.
What about preteen children?
We are unable to offer programs for the younger children this year.
Who are the featured speakers this year?
We are blessed to offer many special speakers at this year’s Convention. Pastor Wayne Mueller was always a favorite in the past, and he is returning this year to give one of the plenary presentations. Pastor Paul Prange is tremendously popular with audiences of all ages and will give the keynote address. We also have some very special presenters for our breakout sessions.
What is the significance of the theme “Guide Me?”
Many people are searching for answers to the difficult challenges of life. This year’s convention is designed to offer clear direction from God’s Word and also personal encouragement from those who have experienced challenging life issues in their own lives.
What is the National Congress?
National Congress is similar to an annual voters’ meeting for CLR. Delegates from our affiliates attend Congress and vote on important matters for the national organization. Non-delegates may attend Congress but are only allowed to vote if they have been authorized by their local Chapter or Branch as a voting delegate.
