FAQs about the 2013 CLR National Convention: "The Diligent Heart"

When is the CLR National Convention?
Saturday, November 2, 2013, from 8:45 A.M. until 5:30 P.M.

Where will the convention be held?
At St. Paul Lutheran Church, 799 Saint Paul Drive, Slinger, Wisconsin. Slinger is located about 30 miles northwest of Milwaukee and can be accessed easily via U.S. Highway 41.

Is St. Paul’s facility handicap-accessible?
Yes, the facility is accessible for those with disabilities, and most of the events are held on the ground floor.

Is parking available?
St. Paul has plenty of parking in their two parking lots, and there is additional parking on the local street.

Who is invited to attend?
Teens and adults are encouraged to attend the CLR National Convention. The plenary sessions are designed for all attendees with two tracks of workshops: one oriented for those who work in the Christian Life Resources’ life resource and pregnancy centers and the other track oriented to the general public wanting more information on life and family issues.

What is the format for the day?
The convention agenda includes an opening worship service, a variety of plenary speakers as well as a number of breakout sessions throughout the day. The agenda will be posted soon.

What is the cost to attend?
The registration fee is $25 per person. That includes all convention events and materials as well as a delicious catered meal by That’s Amore and other snacks throughout the day.

Are discounts available for the registration fee?
There are no discounts available. The cost of $25 is so reasonable we are unable to additionally reduce that cost. The $25 fee is applicable for all who attend.

Can I attend part of the convention rather than the entire day?
Attendees can attend any portion of the convention, but there is no reduced registration fee for partial attendance.

Is lodging available?
Yes, a block of rooms is reserved at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Jackson, Wisconsin. To get the special Convention rate, you must call the hotel at 262-677-1133. Just mention you are part of the Christian Life Resources National Convention to receive your special rate of $89.00 per night for a standard room with 2 queen beds. After Oct. 4, the rate increases to $100.00.

What about teens?
Although we are not planning a special teen convention, high school-aged teenagers are encouraged to attend the National Convention.

What about preteen children?
We are unable to offer programs for younger children this year.

How can I register for the Convention?
Registration will become available by mail, phone or website. Watch for future announcements that will be posted on the CLR Events website.

What is the refund policy?
Refunds are available until Oct. 15. After that date a $5 service fee will be deducted.
